HypedUpApps ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Rally Base mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

• Personal Data:
  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect information such as your name, username, email address, and password (stored securely, likely hashed). You may optionally provide a profile picture.
  • Contact Information (Friends/Invites): Information about your Rally Base friends or contacts you interact with through the Service, such as friend lists, sent/received friend requests, and users you invite to Rallies. We typically do not access your device's main contact list unless you specifically grant permission for a feature that requires it.
  • User Content: Information you provide when you create or participate in Rallies, including Rally titles, descriptions, dates, times, location names, poll questions, poll options, poll votes, checklist items, chat messages, and any other content you generate within the App.
• Location Data:
  • Precise Location (Conditional & Temporary): With your explicit permission, granted on a per-Rally basis, we collect your precise real-time location only during the active timeframe of a specific Rally you are participating in and have enabled sharing for. This is solely used to allow other confirmed participants of that same Rally to see your approximate location for coordination purposes (e.g., finding each other, seeing who has arrived). You can revoke location permission or stop sharing for a Rally at any time via the App or your device settings. Location sharing is designed to automatically stop after the Rally's scheduled end time.
• Derivative Data / Usage Information:
  • Information our servers automatically collect when you access the App, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the App.

• Facilitate user-to-user communication (friend requests, chat, invites).
• Communicate with you regarding your account or participation in Rallies (e.g., notifications, updates).
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the App and develop new features.
• Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
• Enforce our Terms of Use.
• Comply with legal requirements.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

• By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
• With Other Users:
  • Your profile information (e.g., name, username, profile picture) may be visible to other users you interact with (e.g., friends, Rally participants).
  • Information related to Rallies you create or participate in (title, date, time, location name, participant list, poll results, checklist status, chat messages) will be shared with other invited/confirmed participants of that Rally.
  • Your precise location data is shared only with other confirmed participants of a specific Rally, only when you have explicitly enabled sharing for that Rally, and only during the event timeframe.
• Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including data storage (e.g., Appwrite), chat functionality (e.g., Stream), data analysis, customer service, hosting services, and potentially analytics and crash reporting. We require these third parties to maintain the confidentiality of your information and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
